Beechcroft Green is a private Nursing Home which joined the Contemplation Homes Group in April 2005.
Registration: 25 male and female residents aged 55+
Categories: Care with Nursing (N).
A concession has been given for 4 residents to be accommodated between the age of 45 and 55 years of age in the categories of Physical Disability (PD)
We are not registered to admit elderly mentally ill patients unless their nursing needs outweigh their mental health needs. Assessment prior to admission is essential to ensure that the patient is placed appropriately.
The building was originally the Old Rectory, before becoming a family home and then eventually a Nursing Home.
Bedrooms: 19 single bedrooms (14 en-suite)
Bathing: 3 shared bathrooms,
The bedrooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard and we encourage our residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.
The communal dining area and sun lounge is south facing and is a very pleasant, bright and airy room overlooking the large garden. The sun lounge opens onto a patio giving access to the well established and secluded grounds that have been landscaped to allow better wheelchair access to most areas. The large patio with water feature and raised beds create a very pleasant area for residents and their families to enjoy. A gazebo offers shade in very hot weather.
The adjacent bowling green and our gardens can be seen from many of the bedrooms at the rear of the Home.
The Matron, Mrs. Rebecca Metelko, is a Registered General Nurse and is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection as the Manager of Beechcroft Green. Becky can be contacted at the Home and has the day to day responsibility for the running of the Home.
