Woodlands Ridge is a private Nursing Home which joined the Contemplation Homes Group in August 2005.

Registration:        24 male and female residents aged 65+

Categories:         Care with Nursing (N).

Physical Disability (PD)

Physical Disability over the age of 65 years of age (PD(E))

Old Age (OP)

We are not registered to admit elderly mentally ill patients unless their nursing needs outweigh their mental health needs. Assessment prior to admission is essential to ensure that the patient is placed appropriately.

The building was originally built as a very large and grand house around the turn of the century, and has been totally renovated and refurbished over the years to accommodate 24 residents requiring nursing care.

Bedrooms:           10 single bedrooms (4 en-suite)

7 large shared rooms.

Bathing:                3 shared bathrooms,

All with assisted bathing.

The bedrooms are equipped and decorated to a high standard and we encourage our residents to bring in personal items such as ornaments and photographs to enable them to feel completely at home. Families can install personal televisions and telephones as they wish.

There is a large lounge and separate dining room for residents and their families to use.

There is a large, attractive, well-established garden for the residents to enjoy during fine weather. Residents often have their coffee and tea sitting in the garden with their families.

There is ample room for car parking in the grounds.

The Matron, Mrs. Julie Sutherland, is a Registered General Nurse and is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection as the Manager of  Woodlands Ridge. Julie can be contacted at the Home and has the day to day responsibility for the running of the Home.
